Treglown House
It's Cornwall Time, we'll motor
down, another visit to Treglown.
Roses frame the blue front door
and Carol welcomes us once more.
The journey down - a mad M5
then Cornish tea - and we revive!
Our breakfast is a daily feast
- three courses at the very least!
Local sausage, bacon too, mushrooms - fresh
just taste the dew!
Thunder, lightning, both on toast
which one do we savour most?
But then, just think, what could be better
than an egg from Henrietta!
(Sparrows dine - bird-table posh
on Hovis crumbs - upmarket nosh!)
Carol now a special friend,
her kindness never seems to end.
There's always time for breakfast chat,
a walk with Meg or stroke the cat.
Give Charlotte pig a friendly scratch
- or organise a ping-pong match!
She recommends a place to eat
and friendly folk who we can meet,
(local painters and the like!)
roads to motor, lanes to hike.
Richards' working too of course
on the land with John the horse.
This really is a special place,
a haven from the daily race,
Carol and Richards special too,
'Thank you' for our time with you!
